Is there any companies that are offering a basic account but with a debit card.
Due to my location i dont have much choice of the local banks and i dont like any of them either.
So it will mean i can open a account and send them proof of name and address via post.
thank you in advance

What do you mean by companies? Only banks offer these. I believe that ALL basic accounts offer debit cards.
I suggest you look at this site (download Acrobat Reader free if necessary) which gives you all that you need to kneow including a comparison of accounts. Good luck.

This is incorrect.
Individual banks will have their own rules and t&c but the majority will only offer a cashpoint card for basic accounts.0 -
I was reading another thread on this forum about you can open bank accounts online and send proof via post without handing it into banks face to face.0
