Help - need a new boiler

    As you say you will only use one shower at once, I would go for the Vailant Ecotec Plus 937 (the storage combi boiler which canucklehead recommended). I think the Worcester combi boilers are about the size of a washing machine so probably a bit big for a normal house unless you put it in the loft.

    Personally, I would judge the boiler on the actual historical usage rather than how many bathrooms you have.

    This particular Vaillant is powerful enough to run a tap and a shower at once, yes both at once will be low power, but still good enough to simultaneously have a shower and do the washing up.

    Just a thought - wondering if this makes any difference.

    At the moment we have a Triton electric instantaneous shower run off the cold water system rather than the type of shower that runs off the boiler. If we had the showers in the new house the same, i.e. Triton or similar again, would that make a difference to which boiler or system?

    It means you could run two showers at once without loss of power if your cold water pressure is good!
