I was just wandering if anyone can help me.
I was doing a quick spring clean of my PC this morning- formating the external hard disk I use to back stuff up. However, it now doesnt seem to want to appear in the list of drives in my computer, and I cant for the life of me figure out why!
It appears in the list of connected devices on Device Manager, and it is listed as working with all drivers correct, and does the usual windows noise when you connect something that is USB.
Its windows XP.
Any ideas?

does it appear in the list of devices in disk management ?
(need to go to control panel, administritive tools, computer management, disk management.
if its there it may not have a drive letter assigned so you may need to assign one to it.Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0 -
