Anyone Here with Student Ambassador Experience?

Hi,

I'm going to apply to become a Student Ambassador and I'm wondering if anyone on this site has done this before.

I'm interested in mentoring which I've been told is a possibility as part of the role of SA. Did anyone do this whilst at university and how many hours a week did mentoring take up? How would this fit around exams?

There's also the option of doing the Student Associate Scheme, but I'm wondering if that is something that would better suit a third year student.

Can anyone offer me any advice?

I'm a student ambassador at my uni but they are quite relaxed about it. They send out a calendar each week and I can choose what events I work at. They try and get you to work at every open day event though. So never have any problems with lectures, tutorials of exams.

Get paid quite well too.
