Not sure if this has been posted here before, did a quick search and couldn't find anything, so mods please move etc. if you feel the need.
Capital One seem to be doing their offer of an extended interest free period on BT's again. This time it's for 13 months, until 1st January 2007. You also get 0% on purchases for 3 months. The only draw back is that this time they are charging a 2% fee for BT's.
You can access this online, unlike last time when you could only apply via a leaflet.
Hope somone finds it useful!

My guess is that you should not make any purchases as payments will probably come of BT rather than purchases leaving you to pay interest on the purchases three months have elapsed. Is this the case...0

Absolutely right Robert! If you're using the balance transfer facility just put the card in a draw and don't ever use it for purchases until the balance is cleared.
But the 0% on purchases could be handy if you just want to put off paying for Christmasand don't want to use the balance transfer.

Anyone know how long one has to wait before re-applying for a C1 card? I cancelled my classic card a couple of months ago. I have a feeling it's 6 months but if anyone knows different, please let me know

It's been at the top of Martin's "The Longest 0% Deals on the Market Compared" article for a while now (see http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1107182516,76509,).
However, depending on the size of balance transfer, anyone considering this Capital One card with it's uncapped BT fee might want to also look at the latest Halifax One card which has a capped BT fee of 2% (max £50). The Capital One card also has 3% minimum payments whereas the Halifax One has 2% (useful for stoozers and those finding debt management difficult at times).
Allowing for a delay in obtaining the Capital One card, they will both give you 12 months 0% on BT's, and 3 months 0% on purchases, but crucially, if you're BT'ing more than £2,500 the Halifax comes out a clear winner due to the BT fee cap.0 -
