You should surely have a revised Coding Notice (P2) from HMRC .... which fully explains why your allowances have only moved up £40 instead of the more usual £600??
A change from 464 to 468 isn't one your HR people will make without specific instruction (on P6) ....... so you should have a detailed explanation on the employees equivalent - which is the P2.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

Well HMRC told me that my issue was partly due to the fact payroll co are using wrong code (should be sorted for Oct pay) and also due to the cumulative effect.
Will see what Oct pay is like but not chuffed about -£120. If I have to pay this extra why can't it be split over the year.0
