Solihull council recommending Ebico.
Options
Solihull housing are doing visits to peoples homes, checking pipes, meter and other basic checks, giving 2 ESLBs, advising of insurance scheme for council tenants some other advice but also recommending Ebico for gas and electric - leaving a leaflet with details on.
Wonder if there is any incentive for this, or just that Solihull housing have seen that for most people it is a good tariff (certainly the gas).
Also detailed on their website: http://www.solihullcommunityhousing.org.uk/Default.aspx?sID=1091&lID=0

It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)

I think this is very disturbing. While I don't live in a council owned property, I do live in the Solihull Council area and will be sending them an email asking to know what they're up to. Surely they should know better than to imply that one supplier is definitely better than another.0

Why do you find this disturbing?
There can be little doubt that Ebico's approach is morally "better" than that of most of the profit-driven energy companies. And the individual consumers who are likely to be better off with Ebico than with better-known providers are often those people who are least likely to be able to check things out for themselves.0
