Alliance and Leicester Premier Direct Question... Quidco

My dad has a Premier Direct account, and i'm planning to move on to one after reading the current account guide by Martin.
Now... Quidco do £50 cashback for this, where as signing up via my dad gives me £25
My question is, can I work this so that I can get both? My dad sent me an invite and it says I have to sign up via that link, and of course, Quidco requires i do the same...
is there any other way to get both bits?!

Thanks in advance :)

  • I am also thinking of switching my current accout to Alliance and Leicester Premier Direct (getting £50 through Pigsback website) to make the most of the 8.5% for first year. But the reviews on reviewcentre.com are pretty bleak and they seem to have a lot of problems.

Has anyone any experience of this or is it just the normal rake of problems any bank has; only the disappoointed people seem to write the reviews !

( I would go to the Abbey 8% but because Iv been a customer for 20 years I have to do all the wages and DD switching myself)

I'm 99.9% sure that the answer to this is no. A&L can only track one referral.
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

They do seem to feature in the forums more than others, however that could be because they're recommended by Martin and therefore more people here have them.

I accidentally got a £25 direct debit fee for having insufficient funds, and they refunded it after I wrote to them. I like their internet banking. Their transfers (even between your own A&L accounts) seem to take longer than other banks, and they're not signed up to Faster Payments yet (except for receiving).

I'd recommend them, they're no worse than any other bank IMHO. And as you say, 8.5% interest!
