Solent will still honour proc fees to brokers etc so you should be OK. They even sent an e mail yesterday saying they are busier than ever. They owe no-one no money and will see all current cases out the door. If not I am going direct to Beacon now if I need them at all. You should still be OK smb.I am a Mortgage Adviser

You need to call your broker and find out what has happened to your application.
Standard practice would be for another packager firm to take over the case load, but I haven't heard whats happened with Solents cases. Get on the phone and find out. Your broker has already messed you about enough - you should have had an offer weeks ago. Whilst the broker loses some control with packagers, they can still ne ringing daily and putting pressure on them to sort it, something I dont feel has happened in your case. I would be sticking a rocket up thier !!!! if I were you.0 -
minimike2 if i was able to get hold of the broker the rocket thing would be an opotion.
i spoke to her yesturday and she was going to ring beacon about the mortgage payment thing and promised she would call me back straight away(this was at 3pm) like a fool i sat by the phone untill 7pm!!
i have called her about 10 times this morning and emailed her with no luck.
i think they have declined it and she is putting off telling me as i reminded her on the phone she told me 2 weeks ago i would get my offer the next day!!
i wish i could ring beacon myself!!sealed pot challenge member #9200 -
toughluck......are they still processing then? Surely they are not accepting new business now?0

From the e-mail I had mike it said the South West office had closed but the main office open and the mail said "Still trading, still open & busier than ever so keep those cases coming in". Whether that is a smoke screen or not I don't know.
The U/writers in here are not sending stuff to them as we don't know what is entirely going on.
smb-Can you not ring Beacon direct on 0870 9796633 like I do?I am a Mortgage Adviser

Hmmm. Sounds like another Optoma to me....thats exactly what they said before they folded. I know I certainly wouldnt be placing business though them - not that I have ever used them anyway, but if I had in the past I would certainly not be looking to now.0

Hence why we are avoiding them totally now. Optoma again I agree.I am a Mortgage Adviser

smnb08,
Think I have said to ou before about another lender your borker may have access to. MBS lending. Go on their website and lookt at their 2 in 12 arrears schemes and use their affordability calculator. 2 in 12 0 in 3 @ 75% is 7.85% not the 8.63% with Beacon. Its a big difference and you have been re-mortgaging since 1975 so another 2 weeks or so to another lender isn't going to harm you.I am a Mortgage Adviser
