in Credit cards
I have made full use of martins advice and done some stoozing and some life of balance transfers.
i have 2 credit cards with a life of balance at 4.9 and 3.9%.
i have an egg card which i use for purchases and pay off balance every month.
i also have 3 cards with a 0 balance and i wondered if i should cancel all 3 or should i keep 1 or more open ?
i have halifax one visa, leeds and holbeck mastercard and an alliance and leicester platinum mastercard.
I have phoned all 3 and they arent offering any sort of deal on life of balance transfers that would benefit me.
thanks

Don't close Egg (green) if you want to make use of your anniversary offer to stooze.
In my case the only card I use at the moment is Egg Money because of the interest on positive balances plus rhe 1% (2% 'til 10th Dec.) money back ofers.

There are two types of Egg card. Both are now green but one was blue. The original Egg card (forever green ) has no purchase rebate, though it used to. The latest green Egg card , Egg Money, has a minimum 1% purchase rebate which is at present 2% until 10 Dec. The 'money' card is ideal for purchasing things and paying off every month. There are 0% anniversary offers with the original Egg card (Green). The exact terms and conditions depend upon when the card was applied for. I have both Egg cards, which Egg card do you have ?
Get rid of those other cards. You can re-aquire better deals from the same parent company via different fronting organisations. Not sure about who is behind the Leeds and Holbeck card.

Joe_Bloggs, the egg card i have gives me cash back on purchases (got paid out in september i think) and the 0% anniversary offer. I think its the original green egg card.
will close the other cards then, as they are not offering anything to make me want to keep them.0
