I enter a lot of comps through this board, but when I link to them I just get them coming up in a small box, rather than automatically full size. It's a bit of a hassle as you invariably have to then maximise them to read the comp. I don't think it was always like this so have I set something by accident, and can I get it back so it's full size automatically?
Also if I want to look at pictures in my pictures is there any way I can go to thumbnails automatically instead of just getting a file number.
Thanks!

You have not said what browser you are using, but if it is a recent version of Firefox or Internet Explorer then it should support tabs instead of opening new windows every time.
If so hold down the CONTROL key when you click on the link and it will open it in a tab instead which you can switch to/from.
You can also tell the browser to do this automatically. For example in the IE menu choose "Tools", "Internet Options", then where it says "Tabs" press the "Settings" button and tick the boxes to make it behave as you want.
In Firefox it is "Tools", "Options", "Tabs" and click on the "new tab" option.
As for your other question - if you want to always default to thumbnails change it to look like that then (for XP) pick "Tools", "Folder Options...", pick the "View" tab and look for a tick box called "Remember Each Folders View Options". Make sure it is ticked.0 -
I'm in IE and it's not the most recent version. I've done what you said but can't find anywhere that it says tabs.
I also tried pressing control and it just kept it small, I just want a link to automatically go to full screen when I click on it. It always used to so I don't know what can have changes? Any other help gratefully received!
Your other tip about the thumbnails was great , thankyou!0 -
As I don't have access to a pre-tab version of IE I can't try it out. Usually in Windows it remembers how you last had the window.
Appologies for suggesting something I'm sure you have tried but when the window pops up change it to full screen, then close it, then click on the link again and see if it pops up full size.
If that does not work then you could always upgrade your browser here. It's free!0 -
What I would do is to open a new window, stretch to full size by dragging with mouse at top and bottom, then close that window. When you re-open it should be full size.

Reaper, your idea didn't work, but Libra's did! I don't know why there's a difference but it didn't grow when I maximised and than clicked again but it did when I stretched the window!
I think I will upgrade though, I'm sure it's for the best! Thanks for all your help everyone!0 -
Glad it worked.
Good luck0
