HELP! 18 spyware detected.

Hello everybody,
I have microsoft windows 98
I ran panda active scan and I have 18 spyware detected how do I get rid of them. Simple instructions please, because I am not to clever on this pc.

Not sure about Panda s/w but for effective removal of stuff like that I nearly always get the nest results with Spybot Search&Destroy (free): http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

BT Yahoo have a god spyware removal, also Ad-aware, they are both easily downloadable, Ad aware is free to domestic users.
Not sure if can get yahoo unless they are your provider.
Anonymizer used to have a free version,not sure if its still available

you need to install spybot as mentioned above then reboot the machine and start in safe mode

see how here

then run spybot in safe mode . when you are finished reboot the Pc and then scan again with spybot to see if you still have problems, if clean then you are ok if not then repeat the above until you are clean

after this run spybot from time to time to keep clean (don't forget to hit the "update" button on it first)
