Car insurance!! ARGH!

ok short story, im 20 years old, passed my test in april 07. drove a company car since then which i shared with my mum. but now i want my own car as its not practicle to share. got a quote of 889.09 from swinton for a cheap 1 litre polo which is group 3. ring them up and they say cheapest they can do is 1070!

the person i spoke to was saying never to buy it online because you need to read the terms and would end up having to pay a cancellation. is this just scaremongering to pay a higher price?

does any1 have any suggestions what i should do because i really need a car! im a student at uni and i need it to commute!

You can usually cancel a policy bought online within 14 days without penalty if the ts+cs aren't to your liking.

In any case you can download the policy and read it before actually paying on line.

In short, yes, they were scaremongering.

cool thanks quentin! was worried i wasnt going to be able to get a car then! if anyone knows how to get cheaper then please let me know!
