cookers any rules & regs?

hi we have a very small kitchen and the council are due to fit a new one, we are in need of a new cooker, and a range style would be praticle for us as were a family of 6 and the missis makes all food herself, so extra burners and ovens would be worth while.

the problem is that if we wnet this route, the cooker would need to fit into a corner, so one side would be flush with the wall, ive never seen a cooker fited in this way so am wondering if there are any rules and regs that would say we cant have it fitted like that.

any help apreciated, were getting a visit tommorow to measure up and pick what we want. so i need to make a descision now whether we will go for a range cooker.

looks like the panic is off, the kitchen planners came round today and were not impressed with the size of the kitchen, they are recomending the dividing wall between the kitchen and dining room comes down, and we have an open plan kitchen dining room, so we should end up with pleanty of space.:beer:
