Depositing cash

How long should it take to be credited to your account after depositing cash?? Does it depend on the bank concerned?

@ my bank (HSBC) as long as it's a working day and b4 15:30 (i think) then it's available straight away........

Well I deposited cash yesterday and its still not showing :mad: I mean that cant be right, can it?

if u go to the machine, check how much is available - it might be there to take out, just not gone thru all the systems yet....

Well I think it was about 4pm so I wasnt really expecting it to show yesterday but I thought it should have been through today for sure. Not showing when I check online :mad:

what day did you pay it in & how? was it via the ATM or over the counter & was the credit just cash or did it have cqs with it as well

did you pay the money in through a cash machine? If so it can take 2 or 3 days to show. If you were given a recipt when you paid the money in it will stae when it's available to spend

I paid it in on Thursday at about 4pm over the counter. It was cash only.

if it was a crumy local (ie the northern) and you paid into a brnach other than your account holding branch, it will take 3 days to clear. dunno bout the others
