It's both a curse and a talent...wouldn't have been able to get thru this year if I couldn't hide my 'real' feelings...
I know exactly what you mean:kisses3: My shyness is my downfall and to compensate I can appear as though I "gush" at people, I think I actually did that to you and Snaggles at the Meet:o
I have been bitten on more that one occasion in situations with new people, started on a accounting course a few years ago and sat next to two ladies who seemed to be about my age at breaktime, they seemed ok but obviously knew each other previously. I tried to keep the conversation going to avoid any uncomfortable silences. I popped to the loos and heard them just outside the door saying "God I hope She doesnt sit with us every break time, she has done my head in"
.........I didnt go back the next week and withdrew from the course:o not just because of that but it really knocked my confidence.
......Puddy cat is really poorly, had to take her to the vets and prognosis is not good, she said she could feel a "Hard Lump" above her stomach which she thinks is something not nice. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Evening... so much I identify with in the last couple of pages - I am so shy in real life, and you lot definitely know more about me than most people. None of my 'real life' friends or my OH know I'm on here, they'd probably think it was a bit weird, but you really do keep me sane and make me smile

My family dont know I am on here either, they dont know i came to the meet in Leeds:o Only my OH and the boys know and a few friends at work and my bezzi mate who said she was proud of me for going. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Yeah, it's the debt.. and some of the more personal things I've talked about!
Lou, reading about your experience above reminds me of when I was on a trip with a youth orchestra I used to play in, we were on a bus and some people behind me were talking about various other people there, they obviously didn't know I was right in front of them.. and I was described as "the one that never says anything"

I think I must be one of those people that others just don't notice, no matter where I go, on or off the forums, I feel invisable and wonder if it's even worth bothering.
Thought of having a go with a thread but feel, I would still sit there talking to my self
