Alright,
We've been keeping a very tight budget on Christmas this year after splashing out last year and hardly even getting a thank you!!
So, we've bought presents for 20 people for £130!!
And, other than a £50 present for each other (we know what we're buying for each other) we've decided to have a stocking each. The rules being:
1. You have to first decorate a plain red stocking at no cost
2. Then you have to fill it for no more than £20
3. There must be 5 or more individually wrapped presents
4. All the presents must be practical so we're not wasting
So we're gonna be trawling the £1 shops, TK Maxx and such likes to fill them up!!
Anyone else had ideas like this?
EDIT: No need to post ideas for presents, plenty of other threads on here to do that!!
Just wondering if anyone has had ideas like this or better with their OH?

I'm gonna use that thread to find the presents but my main question is:
Has anyone else had an idea that makes you work and keeps you under budget!!
(seems to me like I have to think harder to do this and seems a bit more personal)Treat others as you would like to be treated :A0 -

Hi zincoxide, if you are an advantage card holder boots are doing a 342 on gifts and I used my advantage points, so far I spent £35 of my points to get gifts for my 2 nephews and 4 nieces, the mother in law and brother inlaw. With the great deal the other week ie buy evening primroseshower gel @99p and get a quid in points I am now back up again and it's like I haven't spent any thing. I love boots0 -

my 9 yr old DD's want to do this for their dad this year. They've bought him a pair of socks each and they've each wrangled a £5 out of me with which to buy presents to fill them. They want to have 10 presents each for him to open! Their ideas so far - tube of fruit pastilles (his favourite), making him a badge with their badge maker, getting a cheap tshirt and decorating it with fabric pens or an iron on transfer printed from the computer, a black pen that no-one else is allowed to touch!
They haven't got to look around any shops yet and they're having a wonderful time!
It's alot harder than buying a dvd or book but I think he's going to be in bits when he gets them.0
