If its a straight swap of the shower (same power rating and layout) its actually a really easy job that you can do yourself. I did our shower in about 20 mins.
If the new shower is a higher power rating you might need thicker cabling and a higher rated circuit breaker which is obviously going to cost more.0 -
i think possabley u have to be part p registered to fit a shower as its in the bath room,,,but not totaly sure as bit of grey area...0

the world has gone mad with Part P.. If you are competant to do the job then do it.
That said, given you have bothered to come on here to ask the question in the first place, i would recommend you do get someone in. Depending on where you are in the country, and assuming the old one was done correctly I would imagine you'll have change from £100. Its not a huge job for a pro.0
