Sygate Personal Firewall

Hi,
I'm using this free Personal Firewall recently having transferred from Zone Alarms.

I've noticed that with Sygate I seem to have problems accessing secure sites - a wide variety including my bank, BT, even ebay.

Didn't have the same problem with Zone Alarm. Reason I transferred is that Zone Alarm seems to create a shut down problem on old computers like mine running W98.

Can anyone help please?

Hi,

This won't necessarily help, but I use Sygate, and have no problems with any of those type of sites. I just run sygate in "normal" mode with no special rules.

Can you get in if you disable (temporarily) the firewall?

I had this problem a while ago and it took me two days and alot of effort to sort it out.

Post your problem and I will walk you through everything I did so I was able to access secure sites again.

I use stygate firewall with no problems.
Can you access spyware sites are are these being blocked too?

Not really much more to say. No problems accessing normal sites but anything secure (i.e the locked padlock) like my bank, ebay, BT for example and it just won't connect.
