Ive just booked for America next year and am looking at buying some dollars now, while the price is reasonably high.
Only Q is ,is it worth it
I will have to keep the dollars at home therefore loosing interest on my money or take the chance and leave my money where it is and get the dollars next year.
\only other option I can think of , is it possible to open a bank account in america and put money over there to use when I get over there. Not sure if this is even possible.
Any help appreciated
Mark

Sounds a good idea but I think you'd be better off saving in pounds personally. I dont suppose paypal.com could be an easy option maybe, probably not knowing them0

The ex rate is heading better in our favour. In the last year it has had a high of about 2.14 and a lot of 1.74. Its at 1.86 right now. Best thing with foreign currency is to use a Nationwide credit card and current account ATM card when abroad.0

I think you will find that it was 2.14.;)In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
sorry, yep you're right. I managed to book hotels when it was at 1.11 on my nationwide card0
