Ever since downloading the Firefox update (to 3.0 I think) I can no longer type addresses into the address bar.
I type the address but it doesn't search for it and doesn't even show that it's attempting too. I have to get everything by using my homepage (Google) and searching through that!
Is there something I need to adjust?
Thanks

Thanks for the new version info. Have downloaded and installed
However, it still won't let me type addresses and go to them0 -
Brother's having the same problem, though everyone else's account seems to be working perfectly, so if anyone can help, I'd be grateful too."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Ok
Ive had a quick look elsewhere and its probably some ADD ON thats installed
goto TOOLS
ADD ONS
and uninstall the lot
Try it then
If it STILL doesnt work then ~
uninstall firefox
then reinstall firefox:idea:0 -
I've uninstalled add ons and uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it, but still the same issue
It was fine until it updated a couple of days ago.
Is there a way of going back to the old version or is there another good, free, safe and fast browser anyone could recommend?0 -
Before you give up you could create another profile ~

(Save your BOOKMARKS to the desktop first though so you can retrieve them with the new profile)
I had a problem with firefox 2 that would only sort itself out with a new profile:idea:0 -
Have you scanned for viruses and malware?
Try scanning with SpyBot.0 -

No problem
It annoys me that when you uninstall Firefox it doesnt COMPLETELY uninstall. I even went and manually deleted folders to no avail which is when I changed the 'profile' as a last resort (And wiped my brow)
