Getting adobe flash player to work with firefox

hi, i've got firefox version 3 however theres a few sites which won't load any flash stuff, like skysports live center, flash games, to name a few.

i've tried downloading flashplayer 8 and now 9 but they still won't work. does anyone know if theres some default settings on firefox which i can adjust to make them work. thanks in advance.

I've downloaded it from the main site, and installed it, but it just doesn't seem to work. Theres got to be something simple, (i think) which is blocking it working.

If you go to https://www.sky.com you should see a flash player download at the top of the page.

I clicked on that and it worked fine for me.

What 'add ons' do you have installed?

Adblock, but it's disabled.

Magics video downloader

Password Exporter

Piclens

Stealther

AVG safe search

Flash Video resources downloader

would you suggest i remove any/all

I've just uninstalled adblock, and disabled avg safe search. and it's working.

(the others were either installed before or after the problems with flashplayer.

No need to remove them all I dont think
Id try disabling 'Stealther' If I were you
If that doesnt work then uninstall it AND adblock

AVGs going to be fine im sure (Works fine on mine anyways)

If STILL no success id be looking at the 'video downloading' ones

cheers Rik, I got it working after taking off avg and adblock addon. I might restart avg if you don't think thats the problem
