Car Servicing - is this reasonable?

My MOT is due in 3 weeks. I've had my car over two years now, and it is about 10 years old so really could do with a service to keep it running well and nice and reliable.
I've searched google to see how much a service is likely to be:
Full Service + MOT = £232
Major Service + MOT = £282 (includes draining of brake fluids, hydraulic fluids and the fuel system filters)
This price is for a Nissan Micra. Does this sound like a normal kind of price, remember MOT worth £53 is included.

I wouldn't bother with Google. Just find your nearest {busy} backstreet garage and have it done there.0

I'm not going into the service side of it... the way it goes on about draining fluids etc, makes it sound a tad dramatic.
Find a good independent garage to service it. £53 for MOT is top rate that VOSA advise - you can get it cheaper if you look around.Genie

Your quotes are extortionate. You may have VAT to add onto that?
Shop around.
It's a 10 year old car.
My local garage services a BMW for £125, including full vehicle check.0 -
agreed fiind a trusty local garage (ask some friends /workmates etc) it should be nearer £100 plus the mot
dont go to quick fit type places0 -
I booked a full service just now and MOT.
I got the full service + MOT for a total of £200. That's the equivelant of £153 for the service.
I don't think that's too bad. It's a full service, I live in the south so maybe that is why I am paying a big more.Amo L'Italia0 -
Good stuff.
Well done for saving a bit from your original quote.0
