Avast - Scan Archives

After many years, I've switched from AVG to Avast. Long story!

I see when I'm doing a scan, the "Scan Archives" is Disabled.

I'm struggling to find the option to enable this anywhere.

Please point me the right direction.

did you register it with Avast, think when you enter the free licience key it come up as an option

Load Avast, select 4th icon along (blue square - local disks), above left appears 'scan archive files' underneath there is a sliding bar, slide it to the right and this will do a 'thorough scan'. Then click green arrow to commence scan

Thanks for the replies guys. Yes it is registered.

I'm not sure I'm seeing the same as you (Avast 4.8), shopped around for local drive scan options and found slider, but when the slider appears for 'thorough scan' there's a tiny little check box underneath which states "scan archives". Checked it, and working now.
