Nope not taken a fee as its the fee free one. Over the term of the fixed rate it would not have saved money.

The funds are all booked though which is good. When did you apply?

    really tahts interesting

Which one did you go with?

I applied 18th on the phone and sent of forms 20 of Sept by taking them into a branch.

However nothing since apart from an acknowledgement letter.

If the rates have already changed then yes that's correct. An AIP does not secure a rate, only a full application does.

Hi folks, first post here, just signed up as I have two NR mortgages (one buy to let & one residential) coming to an end in in November & December respectively.

    Anyway, back to the above...

Can someone confirm that by submitting a full application I can secure the product?? I have an AIP for the HSBC Mortgage Special – Remortgage Life Time Tracker (0.79% above BOE)but they the girl on the phone told me that a rate or product is only secured onc e the fee is paid! Also she mentioned that she had heard that this particular mortgage is being withdrawn sometime soon!

Advice please! I don't want to miss out. There's really not anything else decent available for me with a 90% LTV rate.

They have lines open to 10pm so I could even call them tonight.

If I were you I would pop into the branch and ask them as you dont want it getting to far down the line or call them up.

Just to confirm you have the rate booked. I believe it was Wednesday we had to start our application by.

Let us know how it goes.

The wife called today but they say the credit chap will be in touch hopefully tomorrow.

The Branch here is a shambles hence the telephone application.

I applied for this, and have the offer document, subject to valuation which i've had - so fingers crossed on that at the mo.

I did it all in branch (holborn - london) the lady i dealt with has been brilliant, its all moved really fast - it would be such a shame if i dont get this deal.

    Good luck!!!

Still waiting for a 'credit officer' to ring me back..... I have just chased them but it seems as per usual left hand doesnt speak to right hand.

If the branch werent such idiots here I wouldnt be concerned.

THe branch manager promised a return call on a particular day. Since the start of the process staff have pretty much been useless. The original appointment was with a member of staff who I had to help drive the system as 'it had changed since she used it the week before'

    Unhelpful is an understatement.

Now I've phoned on various occassions and they use overseas call centres. Which puts even more doubt in there.

Crikey, totally different experience to what I have had! I hope it all goes well for you.

Make sure you let me know how it goes.
