Who exactly is Mr Curtis?

Who is the Mr Curtis, that is asked for when the telephone unsolicited sellers ring you and ask for? You know the sort of thing, the phone rings, its around tea time and although you subscribe to the telephone preference service, there is someone asking to speak to the mysterisous Mr Curtis. When and if you fall into the trap of explaining that there is noone here of that name they launch into the sales pitch anyway. It just seems that they are all looking for this mysterious Cutis fellow, who, it seems, cannot live without their product. Is Mr Curtis the industry standard name to ask for then? I usually say NO and hang up, but sometimes I engage in a little sport. But thats another story. So who are you, Curtis and don't you think its about time you changed your name?
