Egg Money CC Application

I see on their FAQ that they usually give a decision within 30 secs.

I applied over a day ago and have not even had an acknowledgement of the application.

Does that mean there is a no-no in the post?

I cannot understand it because I have a good credit record

No it doesn't. I applied some months ago and I didn't get an instant decision but did get it confirmed by post!!

Thanks it's good to know I am not the only thats had to wait.

I would log back in to the account you created with them, I got my decision this way. I recall it means entering your password, post code and mothers maiden name.

I was in a similar position with another cc a week or so ago, Iconic.

Couldn't believe I didn't get an immediate ''yes'', the website stated that that happened in most cases-always had this in the past, and my financial situation has only got better-. Got my Experian report out straightaway, as I thought that something must be wrong.

A couple of days later, got the envelop, didn't feel too flimsy, and it did contain acceptance letter and contract.

My guess is that companies are just a lot more careful these days, and may be buying time to monitor developments.

Just logged in to my account as you suggested and found I had been accepted. I completed the application and they said I would get the card within 7 days. I cannot understand why they didn't inform me by email

Need this card as a mule card... to pay off my hsbc overdraft..

Tried doing it the simple way by getting an MBNA card... but got declinded...

So i thought my last chance would be to get this one ... then do a balance transfer to my barclaycard... (0%)

Filled out the info...

First it stated there was an error and prompted me to log out

logged back in and i got

"We are already processing an Egg Money application which we received from you earlier. We'll be in touch shortly, using the contact details you gave "

Does this mean ive been declined? also do they let you know by way of email?
