In terms of exchange rates, $$ TCs are usually marginally (and I mean marginally - a few thousandths of a cent) cheaper than buying cash here in the same outlet.
In terms of spendability in the US - they are widely accepted as cash but you can't 100% rely on it. Some places won't take them - surprising places sometimes. I recall on a trip some time back that a factory mall shop wouldn't.0 -
