M & S Credit Card

in Credit cards
I recently purchased items from M & S but paid by debit card. I only used my M & S card to get the points. When I had to return some items they refused to put the cash back into my bank account. They said it had to go to my M & S account although I did not pay with that. Can this be legal? This means they are holding onto my cash. As they state a full refund will be given on production of a receipt. Not so!!!! They took the money out of my bank account so therefore should put it back!!!!

If you don't have a receipt (which is what you've stated towards the end) all they can offer is credit in store for that amount. If you want a full cash refund then you need to produce the receipt as they request. If you don't have it then the most you'll get is credit.0

How did you manage to get points when you paid with a debit card? I thought you could only get points if you paid with a M & S credit card.0 -

Ah ok, still doesn't seem right with the previous post about paying by debit card but still getting the points. Sounds like she paid with the credit card.0
