taxi to a car boot sale?

I've done a car boot sale without a car, but it was near my home (less than half a mile), and I got my teenage son to help cart the stuff there and back in a couple of trolleys. This, of course, meant splitting the profit with him even though the stuff we sold was nearly all mine. I've also had taxis take me home from the local auction room with several boxes of stuff, and I always tip the drivers since they help with loading and unloading, but if this takes more than a couple of minutes you'll probably be charged waiting time as well. Some are also fussy about luggage on seats if you've more than a bootful, so take a back seat cover (available from Poundland) to appease your driver.
Spending a lot of money to do a car boot sale is risky, especially if it's an outdoor venue where bad weather could make things difficult. You could find yourself out of pocket after several hours' work. I have to say I've never found clothes to be great sellers at boot sales. You might do better to give eBay a go for the better items (I know it's complicated and confusing at first, but you get used to it) and donate the rest to charity shops.0 -
I did one from a bike - the bloke on the gate let me set up for £1 as he had no idea how much to charge.Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -

It is no different than picking a fare up outside Tesco and taking them home with their shopping, which may include a new pasting table and bags of stuff they have bought.
As for coming home, you just need to do the same in reverse.
The taxi driver may even wait with you and let you sell from the back of the cab, but remember the clock will be ticking.

I don't know where the OP lives but I reckon the driver would want some serious money for what would be about half a days work.
I don't think they would get that back on a boot sale profit.
OP if you do get a cab you will need an estate car & thats about 1.5 times the regular rate.0
