Help with some Winter Sun

Hi Guys,

I'm in need for some advise please. I want to take my OH away for his birthday, he's having such a stressful time at work at the mo. We went to Lanzarote last year and loved it with the sun, sea, shopping and sites (volcano grilled steaks, museums, island hopping and cycling) we also hired a car so we really went everywhere....I'm a bit nervous I might flop on this trip.

I was thinking maybe Gran Caneria, Tenerife, Malta or Cyprus but I have no clue as to what we can do and where to stay.

Any advise would be really appreciated! If any of you know of any good deals please share-that would be great!! The hol would be for mid Nov for 7-10 days flying from Manchester. Last year the flights, SC apartment and car hire came up to £500 altogether. I booked at the end of Oct, with everything that has happened lately with budget airlines is it best to book now or can I wait till Oct again?

I would definately book now if you can find something you like. There is limited availability due to operators cutting capacity. if you are tied to dates you may not get much choice. All of the places you mention will be fine at that time of year. Try an independent travel agency on the high street ie one that is not linked to their own tour op such as thomsons and they will check all operators for you, that way you are protected by ATOL and most will price match if not beat internet prices. Good luck.

Look at sharm el sheik if you want hottest but not too far.

i just booked a week in the maldives 4* half board leaving 9th Nov for £800pp.

found it following martin's cheap late deals advice on teletextholidays.co.uk

noone else getting close to that price so couldn't really haggle!

there don't seem to be lots of late deals around though. So I would say get something now.
