Samedaycash - what the hell has happened here?

Hi all

I need some help regarding a company called samedaycash.co.uk

Basically, I had a loan with them which I defaulted on (on purpose) so that I could pay it off in instalments to get rid of it, as I was stuck in a vicious circle with it. After it defaulted it went to a company called chequespread. The original balance was £520 and I have paid off £300 so the balance now is £220.

I called chequespread today to get my balance and they told me that the debt has been passed back to them (end of August) as they no longer deal with samedaycash as a company any more.

My concern now is that when I logged onto samedaycash.co.uk to login to my account to see what was happening, the company has completely changed - they used to be a lender and now they are a broker for other payday loan companies and I cannot login or anything

I am worried they are going to take all of the balance at the end of this month, I haven't heard a peep from them about the balance and don't want to default on my payments, but there seems to be no way of contacting them - does anyone have any clue what it is going on or what the best way to deal with this is??

Thanks!

  • Hi,

I would cabcel your bank card asap if it is the same card you used with them.

I was in same position weekly payment plan with chequespread whuch I never defaulted on but all of a sudden random amount such as 9.63, 10.68 etc totalling over 100.00 have been taken out of my account on the same day.

I rang to ask why and they said the plan I had in place with cheque spread is void as they no longer deal with them and are recovering there money.
Needless to say my card is now cancelled!.
