 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

You don't have to pay for auction information. Many of them now have free downloadable brochures online that you can look at immediately.

Here's a list of property auctions around the country

Legal packs for each auction though will be charged for. But you only need one of these for a specific property you're thinking of buying.

Yes, make sure that you get the legal pack for any proeprty you are seriously interested in and get it to a solicitor to look at in plenty of time before the auction.

Some properties, particularly flats, are put in auctions because they have a legal problem that the seller hopes the buyer won't spot!

As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.

Things you might find in the legal pack are:
    - you have to complete in 14 days
    - you have to pay for all the property reports they've had done
    - you have to pay their legal fees and auction fees

Really, they can stick anything in there they want.

Visit the property. Read the legal pack. Take advice. Check the area well.
Re-read the legal pack. Don't over bid.

Most of the auction houses have the legal packs available online - free!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

But legal packs are full of legalese - if you're serious about buying get it and take it to a solicitor for a free consultation - (Find a conveyancer who'll then do your sale quickly perhaps?)
