Does anyone know where I can get a cheap replacement screen for my laptop, as I dropped mine and broke it. I'm currently using it plugged into an LCD monitor, but would like to make it portable again. I'm searching daily on Ebay and there are some new ones on there but they're £100 and I can't really afford that. I guess I would need to find someone with a broken one for spares or repairs but have no idea where to look other than Ebay. Any ideas?

I could get one from work but it is going to cost around £100 anyway, not new though new are far more expensive say £300.
Also depends on the panel in your machine, the new one may not match the cables that are inside0 -
try here http://www.pchub.com/uph/
I was looking to repair a friends toshiba satellite - and the UK prices were about £150 for a new screen.
This site found me the right screen (seacrhed with screen model number) and it found one for about £70 including shipping from the US - and it took only 3 days to get here.
the other option is to try ebay for a stripped down laptop which is the same model as your own - I did a search for a particular laptop and someone selling one without a battery pack, memory or HDD for about £30. I just stripped the parts out of it that I needed - it did have a working screen too.Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0
