I went into my local branch and she said as my mortgage doesnt end till end of december she cant get any rate until 3 months before and there is no way of organising it any earlier?! I have an appointment for the 1st October but i am concerned rates will change before that.0

Phone them up then - I haven't gone near a branch and in the past have found that they often don't know the whole story of what can and can't be done. I can't understand why you would be told anything different from me - it isn't as if they'd checked my mortgage details before telling me that I could get a new deal. Phone the number I dialled, press 5 and explain what you're wanting - you could say that you have a friend who has just arranged a new deal and see what they say.0 -
Woolwich fixed rates increasing from tomorrow also.
It has started........0 -
Thanks, I will try this just now and see how i get on. Does your deal end 31st December? Thanks again0

Thanks, my mortgage with hbos expired at end of Dec too & I've just been onto them this morning and rearranged, which I wouldn't of thought possible without seeing your post.
By the way, the first person I spoke too thought it was only possible 2 months before but he put me through to someone else (in renewals?) who then went through it all with me.
thanks for the info

Swap rates have increased. n Rock, first direct among others are increasing rates. Get in quick folks and stop shopping around!!!!!!I am a Mortgage Adviser
You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Mortgage Adviser Code of Conduct. Take advice with a pinch of sea salt!0 -
mummy2aimee, sorry been out so haven't read this till just now.
I dialed 08457 27 37 47 & then press 5 (for other business or something similar), the guy there put me through to renewals.
I did get another number 0845 6022746 for the person in renewals, you could try that. I think that's to confirm when I get the paperwork through.
Good Luck.0
