My searches came back in 2 weeks but some Councils are slower than others. Get your solicitor to chase them up if they don't come back within a couple of weeks!0

were in the same boat and our solisitors recon they only take a few days!!! good luck0

thanks for the speedy reply . At worst 3 weeks from recieving the money for searches would take us to the 12th . Would that be too close to christmas to exchange and complete?0

It is not too close, but you need to keep the pressure on your solicitor.
We've been ready to exchange for 4 days and it still hasn't happened, my buyers' solicitor is so slow, I just want to scream! Good luck!0 -
Hi all
We are STILL waiting for any kind of communication on whats happening regarding the Environmental search our buyer had done...
Was told last Friday that could not exchange on that day cause of Contaminated land within 500M of our house.
So this is now holding up everything, including the folk we are buying off and the lady is she buying off...and we all want to move NOW.
No-one seems to be able to tell us, just how long all this is going to take.
Scream, I feel like crying !!!0
