I'm working away from home for a couple of days & I was getting ready for the morning workshop when my mobile rang. Now my mobile number is the one I use for comps & also for work & personal use so I answered with my name as it was a withheld number.
It was a radio station asking if I'd entered a comp with Yell.com for £250 towards the perfect party. I did remember entering it as I recall the big yellow box on all the Bauer group websites - & the lady said that she was happy to say that I had been selected as the winner! She asked for my address & I started to think about using the vouchers to make my nephews birthday in October a fab party - then she said she'd send the cheque out. I nearly choked & said "Er, cheque? Not vouchers to use?" Nope, definitely a cheque.
I was so happy as I've had a bit of a trying time lately. I was at risk of redundancy & now that is nearly resolved (just waiting on the other persons appeal to be heard) I was looking to get a holiday booked leaving this weekend for 1 week, but last week in the travel agents they said that all the last minute hols have shot up in price due to XL going bust! Had managed to scrape together a few hundred pounds but was just coming to terms with a holiday at home when I get that call! Things started to look up!
Imagine my complete & utter disbelief when 20 minutes later (10 mins before I'm due to run the workshop) my mobile rings again with another withheld number. Again I answer with my name & it's another of the Bauer radio stations telling me the exact same thing! At this point I was in a daze & I think I gave her my address - all I could think about was now we will definitely be able to get away for a week!
2 x £250!!!! If I could find a cartwheel smiley there would be a few on here I can tell you!

Seriously, a million thank you's as now I can get way with BF & just relax the hassles of the last (nearly) 2 months away!
