OU financial support - will they accept bank statements printed from the 'net?

Time's running out as it took 2 weeks for my application form to reach me in the post. I rang earlier and agreed an extension, but it's too late to phone again tonight and I've realised that for some internet only accounts I don't have paper statements and in another instance (even if they're accepted) I can't get online access to statements as far back as April 2007.

I have extensive records via microsoft money; & have requested Section 975 certificates - but they could take another 10 days to arrive.
I appreciate they need evidence, but it's such a rigmarole. The paper, ink & copying costs far outweigh the £2.89 annual interest I got from one account.. or worse the monthly statement only internet account which has netted me the princely sum of about 7 pence per month. (Yes, I suppose I should close it.)

Anyways, before I catch up on printing out this year's statements for next year's application; have any other mse-ers encountered this, and had internet printouts accepted?

  • I had problems proving OH income as they wanted a letter of confirmation regarding his Tax Return. However as this has always been done online we have never received one. I ended up printing up a copy off the internet, however, before I did this I phoned up and got someone to confirm with a manager that is is accepted.

Not quite the same situation but I would phone them and get them to confirm everything that they will and wont accept.

    Good luck.
  • Thanks Coljacks.
Much appreciated. I'll give 'em a bell in the morning.
    Hope your studies go well.
