Hello, We sold our new build property in May 08, but it has not show up on the 'sold prices' websites yet?
Has our soliciter forgotton to post a form or something?
The house a few doors down sold in June, and their sold price is already out there in cyberspace....they got 18k more than us....but we got to move away from THE neighbour from hell, and we made 20k profit!!!
Should we be worried that the sale did not complete properly?
Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom.

It took over a year for ours to show up, so don't worry! According to our solicitor, she had quite a long period of grace when she could register the sale with the Land Regsitry and she took full advantage.
Perhaps wait until the new year and chase up if it doesn't show by then.0 -
Am I missing something here? If I have bought and have moved in what big /any difference does it make if the purchase doesn't appear on the Land Registry for a month or a year? Who registers it?No longer half of Optimisticpair

Your solicitor registers it, usually at the same time as he sorts out the stamp duty payment. Why anyone would wait a year is beyond me, for the relatively small fee involved the interest must be peanuts. OP has sold. His/her solicitor send papers to buyer's solcitor in exchange for electronic transmission of funds. Buyer's solicitor then has to pay any SDLT and register the transaction. If he doesn't do that it is not your concern - it will be his clients and any mortgage lenders who will be worried.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0
