My OH enters comps himself but I often enter the postcards comps in both my name and his - what's the difference?

Cannot belive anyone would criticise weeowen anyway - so many competitions are put on this board by her (er - I think, sorry if it's him) , I would have thought a couple of DVD players would barely make a dent in what they make available for us to try and win. (and.............breeeeath:rotfl:)

It was just an observation, why does a house need two of the same thing when another house could have benefited?!

Can't quote but totally agree, nothing wrong with entering for OH if you have one. Credit Crunched would you be moaning if you had won ? People here spend hours finding comps and sharing them, lowering their own odds and any win they received is well deserved. I don't find many comps that aren't already posted but always say thank you and am always over the moon when they have a win. If not for their hard work none of us here would win at all. Do yu also think that people should only enter kids comps once no mater how many children they have?

i appreciate that this is quite an insular board, and they are protective of their own. I do alos apprecaite the time people put in to post up comps, however i only enter COMPS i want to win. So its about 5 - 10 a week. If you can all remove yourself from the emotion of this protective state and see that one house winning two of the same item is greedy, someone could have benefited from that item.

It appears that the comping community is very different to how i see the situation.

To use your own words, you need to step back. Weeowen never set out to win 2 nor asked for them, its just a luck of the draw. I'm sure if it happened to you, then you would certainly not return one.

Credit Crunched - for some of us, comping is a hobby and we enter 1000s of competitions a month - and we win some of the time, all of the time etc. The competition that Weeowen entered was placed in various publications across the same group - who's to say which paper her OH entered - could have been the same - could have been the sister paper - does it really matter.

I think if you don't want to be flamed - then think carefully about what you post on an open forum. This particular thread is for wins - not sarky comments!

CC , although no-one should justify why they won but say Weeowen wants one in the bedroom and one in the living room, what's wrong in that. Also you don't know if his partner lives with him or not, or if she intends to give it to someone who needs it...so it is not really nice to be judgemental. If weeowen had anything to worry about he would not be open about his wins.

Weeowen...Well done and to be quite honest if I could win 5 of the Bl@@dy things i would..Have 5 kids different bedrooms so maybe weeowen needed more than one player....Come to think I could do with 5 new beds and mines totally shot:o:o:o so I enter what I like and good look to the people who win. Especially the people who post regularly... :D:D
