Austin and Wyatt - what planet are these people on?
Previously, we had an offer for £140k agreed for a particular house, a little bit more than I wanted but naiviety took over. Thankfully in some ways though, it fell through(key workers scheme, avoid thames valley!!!).
This was 6 weeks ago - they are now advertising it for £145k!!!!!
Another house was on for £90k just over a week ago, yet on the website it is now at £120k!
Mugs.

You nearly bought it for £140,000, so who is the mug?
The market will decide.Been away for a while.0 -
...it's still on the market, hence I am not the mug.0

One near me we viewed at 65k has had laminate and a new kitchen and is now on for 99k.
It's the tiniest terrace on the planet with appalling parking and an inch wide back yard thats in shade all day.0 -
Look back to the thread title. The EA is not a mug, the EA is an agent, acting on behalf of the client who instructs the asking price, which is exactly that, an asking price. Having already found one mug willing to pay £140,000, the client probably decided the only way to find another was to instruct the agent to raise the price in the hope of realising £140,000. Who pays full asking price in this market? If the property remains unsold the EA earns nothing.Been away for a while.0
