Match.com

After a couple of glasses of wine a friend and I thought it would be a giggle to sign up to the above website, having both been single rather a long while now!

Anyway we signed up, paid a month's subscription and started sending some messages. Then we both tried to log in 24 hours later, and our accounts have been blocked. We have been told to email an address, and I was also referred to this after emailing customer services. I have emailed them several times, and no reply as yet. The money hasn't come out of my account yet, but I will be keeping a close eye on it.

Is there anywhere I can report them in order to get my account unlocked, or my money back. I cannot believe they have locked us both out when we have paid for it, and there is no number for us to call, just an email address.

I am going to bombard them with messages until they reply, otherwise is there anyone I can report them to to sort this out?

Thank you anyone who can help!!

Less than a minute on their site found an address which it is possible to write to:

    Match.com International Limited
    The Communications Building
    48 Leicester Square
    London WC2H7LR
    UK

Another minute on Google found a number for their PR dept:
    0845 345 8759

I don't think there is a dating agency body that they can be reported to, but I may be wrong. If they take the money and don't reinstate your account, it should be possible to do a chargeback (if you used a credit card or Visa debit) and/or report them to trading standards.
  • I found that address on the website, but would rather have a phone number or something. Have called the subscription number I found but they told me I have to wait for a response on the email and said there was no number I could call. So it's a case of waiting and checking the bank account every day for a bit!

Seems I'm stuck til they can be arsed to check their emails!

Don't worry, those people you messaged will still be there when you get it all sorted out.You can maybe expect to get extra days for the ones you have been locked out.Was there anything in the t & cs about time it takes to set up?
