Watch out with the Netgear range. The DG834G v1.0 is a solid router, but the version 2.0 and DG834GT can be very problematic. They use a different chipset to the version 1.0 DG834G.
They may be ok for a lot of users, but have definitely got problems. I've experienced (and still do) a lot of the problems. Before buying a Netgear I'd urge you to at least checkout their forums. To make sure you won't be open to any of the problems, or so you at least know what may lie ahead.
I can't really speak for any other makes apart from KCorp and Draytek, but if I were to buy again I'd have a look at Belkin's range. The Pre-N Belkin does very well and is recommended by PC Pro."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
I had to pay someone to do mine. A young lad I know who is well up on computers and connections etc. I would never ever have known what to do. It took him sometime anyway. Great thing was he spotted loads of reasons why our pc was running slow, cleared it all, connected the laptop up perfectly. Best £40 I ever spent.
If it was down to me the router would still be in the box.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

This is the way I think I'm going to go as well. I'm going to try and find someone local that can help as I can't even get into the screen to tinker anymore, it just says access denied.
