  • Love this idea! Wonder if it would work with 3 adults and 4 children tho as it seems to be more of a game for a larger number of people

We play a version of this - and it can be played with a lessor amount of people.

Write out each persons name about five times and put them into a container. These then get called out and the person chooses a present - sometimes we have them wrapped and sometimes unwrapped, which can be even funnier, particularly if something is more popular than the others.

Just keep going until all the names are called and then whoever ends up with the presents wins them.

Another alternative to this is to have two packs of playing cards. Deal one pack out to everyone until they have all gone, then someone takes the other pack, turns over the cards and calls them out - whoever has the corresponding card picks the present!

    Great fun!

Oh I remember playing this at Ann Summers parties years ago - hillarious!

Me too, a couple of months back at a Ann Summers and i must say the 'cleverly wrapped' bit is good, as some girls thought they were getting somethin rather 'ahem' exciting when it wasn't what they thought at all:rotfl:

A seasonal bump for this for Christmas 2010.

I have been buying little gifts as I spot them for the last few months and now have quite a stash!

this is a game i always play whenever i got to a virgin vie party.

there is loads of vie pressies up for grabs , plus chocolate.

a group of girls can start off quite nice, until the raffle tickets run out and you want the choc, lol. it is soooo funny.

Thanks for reminding me of this game, I'm definitely going to organise it for after dinner entertainment, will go down a storm! :D

I have done this for a hen party but instead of raffle tickets we used 2 dice, every time a double was rolled someone could take a prize and I set a timer for 15 minutes to give it a clear finishing point, it got quite heated as the girls fought over what they thought were the 'good' presents but were actually the dummy ones as I'd done a little imaginitve wrapping! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!
