When you transfer money into your icesave account from your linked account and you specify the date when setting up the transaction in your icesave account. Is the date you specify when its pulled from your linked account or the date when it gets to your icesave account?

Just to add that, whilst Direct debit is simultaneous debit/credit, the receiving organisation (Icesave in this case) will normally put a 'block' on withdrawals against these funds for x days because DD's can be (and sometimes are) recalled.
BACS transfer 'pushes' are not subject to the same restriction.0
