A Momentous Decision!

We've finally made a decision! I have just got off the phone from the Estate Agent after telling him we are taking our house OFF the market!
I feel pretty good about it to be honest cos I was worrying about the additional financial stress it would put on us particularly as hubby runs his own company and I work for him and we don't yet know how or if this 'recession' is going to have a major effect.
The only thing is, I feel guilty now as the Estate Agent sounded a little p'd off! Don't know why they only got us 2 x viewings since April anyway!
Anyways - we have decided to use the next 2 years to pay off as much of our mortgage as we can instead and see where we are then. DD will then be going away to Uni (hopefully) and we have more choices of where we can move to as I won't be worrying about ruining her social life!!!!

Thanks Jenny - it was actually a huge relief once made. It was such a massive decision for us, as this is the first and only house we have ever bought and we have been here for 14 years. The leap in our mortgage was going to be mammoth! Hence my somewhat over zealous reaction! :rotfl:0

Out of curiosity.. .Why were you thinking of moving in the first place?
We put our house on the market about 10 days ago and have had 2 views, one is coming back for a 2nd viewing tomorrow. We intend to rent for a while then buy when we have found the house for us. (Or when the owner of the one I originally wanted decides to put it back on the market instead of renting it OUT!!!!!)
