Am I on the best electricity tariff for me?

Options
Hello everybody.

I've been with British Gas on Click Option 3 for about a year now for my Electricity only (no gas in my area).

I checked my online billing today to see I am £82 in credit with BG as I pay £29 each month, and this has accumilated over the Summer. I called them up and asked them if I am on the best tariff for me, to which I was told, Click 3 is one of the oldest tariffs, therefore the cheapest, so I'm better sticking with it.

That was that.

After getting of off the phone I was wondering, should I take BG up on their offer to fix my price until 2012?

I currently live in the property by myself, and am renovating the property at the moment, and it currently has no central heating. So I am using electric oil filled radiators until I can afford the central heating, so I can expect higher bills through the winter.

Does anybody have any advice for me at all?

Many thanks, G.
