How to take my Gateway notebook apart...

AC adaptor no longer charges battery, had a moment of "loose connection" now nothing.
Reading other thread on here, seems likely that it may be the connector on motherboard that needs fixing not the ac adaptor replacing.

So i've been to gateway website http://uk.gateway.com/products/product.html?prod=MT6223b and there are no users guides to show me best way to dismantle.

Any ideas? (am happy dismantling and will happily remove screws and mess, just prefer guidelines as some keyboards are pains to remove etc).

TIA

  • Hmm found the replacement components guide, but doesn't really show getting to the connector.

You should check with Gateway before opening the laptop up, as it will possibly invalidate any warentees and so on. I would think its much safer to just call them up and ask them what options are available.
