Lloyds TSB part complete application ?

Options
I've rec'd an LTSB Airmiles Duo CC application sent with my latest Airmiles statement, its part filled with my personal details and offering 12mths BT @ 0% with 3% fee.

Is this a good thing I should accept, is it preselection with decent credit limit ? Can I tell from the Total Charge for Credit section ?

I am due to restart my applications, having not done so for 4mths and having just repaid and closed Halifax/HSBC and cleared Virgin - in view of 4th repeat; leaving 3 more cards clearing by Christmas. Which providers give instant online decision besides Halifax/Ulster - Mint/Egg/Natwest/RBS. and if they give instant decisions can I make mass applications in one day and avoid the searches appearing on my CRFile while they are making their decision.?

The standard offering is 6 months with a 3% fee, so it looks like a 'special', which is good. Is there the same £100 spend in first x months clause in your offer?

No experience with LTSB and pre-approved offers, but I've had some Halifax offers previously (and a current FD one) that were pre-approved with no credit search...but they were placed in my online secure area and I applied via the phone so I could ensure there were no external credit searches. Maybe you should do the same?
Can I tell from the Total Charge for Credit section ?
Possibly, so long as they haven't used the generic £1,500 figure (which would be £123.63 at 15.9% APR).

If your 'personal' figure is different from this, you may find this old M&S card post useful...

...because I seem to remember that card also had a 15.9% typical APR (but could have been 16.9% APR...anyway, it'll give some guidance).

Not sure about online, but Abbey, Virgin Atlantic, M&S, and N&P all gave me an instant decision AND credit limit by phone/branch recently (applications spaced over 2 days).
and if they give instant decisions can I make mass applications in one day and avoid the searches appearing on my CRFile while they are making their decision.?
I don't think you'll avoid the searches appearing (although I do think they're 'delayed' slightly...but others disagree with me on this aspect), but you will avoid the accounts appearing (limit assigned etc) if you do them all together.

In addition to the 4 over 2 days mentioned above, I've also done 4 in a lunch hour. Others have done even more together...I seem to recall some stoozers (on the stoozing site) have made as many as 7 applications in one day before now. You must realise of course, that such activity will trash your credit rating for many months to come.

Good luck!...and please post back with any update.

    thanks YB,

12mths 0% with the £100 stipulation, and interest charged on that and the 3% fee, so could do better with the Lloyds Plat 14mth, or Egg/Halifax/Natwest.

the charge for credit is indeed £123.63 so no insight there.

I know the searches will appear, was just hoping there may be a days grace and my applications may get treated a little more favourably.

    cheers

Sorry, I could have worded it better, ie "I don't think you'll avoid the searches appearing almost immediately".
