EON rant
Options
The missus has just rang them up after recieveing a red letter, apparently if we dont pay what we owe them there going to cut us off, "gain access" to our house and install a pre-payment meter, this meter will cost us an extra £3 per day to pay off what we owe plus an extra 30/60p per day due to us being on prepayment meter.
The reason we owe them money is they couldnt get a reading, due to them coming round and not being able to gain access to the meter, well its inside the house and we work during the day.
We rang them on 3 occasions and gave them meter readings which according to them cant be right and were making said readings up.
The missus agree'd with them that we would pay them a flat £100 a month until what we owed (an estimated £600, but they havent had a meter reading they agree with) was paid off and then sort out a monthly billing.
All is well..
Apart from the fact they havent been taking the money.
The missus has just been on the phone to some arrogant "person" on the phone who hung up on her because she wasn't listening to him apparently.
He wouldnt give her his name even though she asked for it several times and basically said that they wouldnt accept any payment plan because apparently people in our area dont stick tho them, they've had access to her bank since the backend of last year and the reason we've not stuck to the payment plan is down to them not actually taking the money out of the account.
The missus has asked me not to ring them as she would rather just pay them the money and move to another supplier and then tell them to "go forth", so, as I need to rant I'm here doing it instead..
I'm absoluetly bloody livid atm after having her on the phone in hysterics because of how she was spoken too.
Suggestions?
*****Quick Add*****
She's just rang them back and spoken to someone else who appologised and was actually helpful, although he wouldnt give her the name of the person she spoke to the first time he had marked our account with a note saying that she'd sworn at him!!
Apparently they dont setup "payment plans" if you owe more than £600, thing is if they'd been taking the money the debt would of been paid off by now anyways..
At the point now where gonna sell off whatever stuff I can and get them paid off then tell them to "politely go forth"...

Have you spoke to energywatch about it?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0

If they weren't taking the money, did you not question this earlier? In the meantime you would obviously still use electric and adding to what you owed them.
You can always set up a Standing Order via online banking so you don't have to rely on them taking the money.0 -
I didn't question it as it comes out of the missus' account, shes only noticed since the letter..0

Well in a nice big screw you to Eon we've paid them the £600 we owe them and moved to NPower..
Complaints have been lodged with Eon and the Ombusmany people.
One thing I did forget to tell you the otherday that the chap said to the missus..
"If you couldnt afford your bill then maybe you shouldnt of had another child"
